Marric Studios...

Hello! The latest news is that I am at Marric Studios in Flagstaff on 22 W. Birch at the corner of north San Francisco St. and Birch St. The shop is right next to Vino Loco! And I am doing very well over there... Luckily I had a lot of stuff to put in there so I didn't have to work too hard! But I need to get into that little studio and work on some glass!

The good news is that I was soldering a lot! So I will see if I have anything to show... iF we are lucky, some photos will appear! But as a photographer, I am not the best! Nor the most on task! ...even better news, I was asked to take my stuff into another studio in the Village of Oak Creek!! And this guys sells a lot of jewelry! Thank you tourists!

Unfortunately I don't have much more to tell, so I will touch base again soon...

So now we have some pendants....

Handmade purple lampwork bead made from purple glass and silver to make the color combination.  Adorned with gorgeous faceted blue zircon on sterling silver wire twisted to make a bail.
The next pendant features soldered silver wire, more silver wire wrapped with moonstone and iolite beads as well as freshwater pearls and labradorite.

Then final photo of pendants features peridot wrapped down a soldered and hammered silver loop.  It is adorned with different colors of Freshwater Pearls and features two faceted Peridot gemstones that were actually mined here in Arizona! These are special gems as I only have a few left and they are stunning!

Well I'm hoping to push the last of the posts off my blog!  Tomorrow I'll work on the rest of the photos and we shall see if I post some Necklaces.... Good night friends.  Sweet dreams!

Bracelets and I am back into the soldering phase.. YAY!!

This bracelet has lovely blues and browns with Smoky Quartz, Kyanite, Moonstone, Blue Freshwater Pearls with Amazonite and finished with hand soldered sterling silver circles at the clasp.

Aquamarine faceted stones are wrapped on Silver wire and joined together with twisted sterling silver wire soldered into circles.  One kyanite stone offsets the aquamarine.

Deep blue Kyanite round discs with matching round silver heavy 16 gauge soldered circles make up the foundation of this bracelet.  Bali beads separate a few of the kyanite beads.Handmade hook and eye clasp finishes off this piece.

Lovely Citrine, hand soldered circles and one large faceted Amethyst gemstone are completed with a hand formed hook and eye clasp.  All sterling (.925) and fine (.999) silver pieces in this bracelet.  One of a kind jewelry!  Thanks for looking...

April earrings... just before soldering happens!

T
These earrings are citrine and hand soldered silver circles.  The earwires are hand formed and hardened.  One of a kind earrings, gorgeous citrine gemstones.
These earrings are sterling silver ovals that have been hammered, drilled, then hand formed and hardened silver earwires are formed to allow for a free flowing movement of the uber lightweight silver below.

This pair of hammered silver is round 1 inch discs of sterling silver. Hand formed and hardened silver earwires have been specially formed.  So light and with great movement!

Some fun alas, they make me go.... Thanks friends..

Good Saturday to you all!  I had a beautiful day at Fossil Creek yesterday.  Territory of aqua blue waters so lusciously tantalizing, yet with the rush of the water juxtaposes one into a mesmerizing state of bliss.  First let's see what I'm talking about.  Above is a picture of the afternoon when we climbed up and this is the view from above the big fall.  The right photo is the 'big' waterfall.  Wait, I have Geoff jumping off the cliff... that will come next.  (Different phone).

Earrings made in October.... the beginning of my solder extravaganza!

These earrings were made in October... No new pics just yet.  I'll get on the camera very soon!  These were made for Heather, my friend with Arizona Peridot, which is no longer mined here, and art deco green discs on sterling silver handmade earwires.  Headpins handmade by me as well of fine silver.
I need to get down to Sundara and take pics of the new earrings I put in there... I don't have any of the new ones.  At least I don't think I do!  My pics are everywhere since my main computer crashed... so awful.

This pair has gone into Sundara as have a lot of other silver earrings in this style have...  They are selling well!  I have been soldering the circles on after hammering and drilling the silver.  Earwires are handmade sterling silver.

Recently made OOAK jewelry going into Sundara.....

Hello! Yes, I am still slow at the making of jewelry... it is so cold in the studio. I can only handle it for a short while even with a heater, then I have to come in - so jewelry is SLOWLY being produced. And great news, I get my own case.... A WHOLE CASE to Jet's Jewelry at Sundara! :) Whoo hoo! So excited, but pressure is on to focus and keep it filled while working....

Havasu Falls trip...

Hey there! I finally am moving on getting some photos up of my trip to Havasupai in the bottom of the Grand Canyon! We went for a work presentation on our programs and to see how we can help the Supai's in prevention of cancer.

It was as beautiful as I remember the last time! Lots of great people and the water is an amazing blue that matches the chalcedony I have... Yum!

Houseboat on Lake Powell in August!!

Aww, one of my most favorite past times... is spending time in the sun. Boating and wakeboarding with friends, cliff jumping, running up the sandy crack in the rock (I may have a photo of rolling down the sand.. FUN!), and eating sandy hot dogs. Yum!

I'll drive to Durango, hopefully eat sushi, then be ready the following day to leave and pick up the houseboat by 5pm. We'll leave the Utah side from BullFrog and just float. And boat, and wake board... Too much fun - thank god for friends...

You all know who you are! I love you! Much love and fun times to come!!

One Day At A Time

That's how I'm processing my heartache... and it's good! I'm thinking July will be a much better month than June was and I keep thinking about my Chinese Fortune wondering what I lost, the real me? Was I too busy becoming who he wanted to marry, that I lost the real me? I did give up a lot and really grew as a person with him, but also became someone else. I'm excited to be alone, free and do what I want and what I need - for me. I've always cared for others first then myself second... NOT any more.

And I'm looking for another job, so if anyone out there is scouting for an awesome Sales Person, I was 3rd in the Desert Southwest market for Sales Consultants at Cingular... won at trip to the Rockies for the "Cingular Summit". And I'm ready to throw all my energy into a new occupation. I really need a commission job (hopefully with a base pay), as I've accepted the fact that I am resposible for all the AMEX credit card debt WE created... but it's mine and I'll continue making all payments.

Quote for the day:

We shall not cease from exploration,
and the end of all our exploring
will be to arrive where we started
and know the place for the first time. T.S. Eliot

These types of things keep me going forward and not staying in the past. Think Big.

Chinese Fortune Sticks at Sundara...

Lucky for me I have met some wonderful women, and tonite I was able to cover a shift back in the store. I love this place, so much good karma... just what I need in my time of major life changing events.

Malika, a cute 5th grader, was asking what these funny sticks are in the jar... I'll upload a photo soon. So I explain what they are and we proceed to have our Fortunes be told by "The Oldest Known Method of Fortune Telling in the World" and this is mine: (NO. 54)

YOUR LUCK FOR TODAY -
If you've a wish just for today,
it's surely your the sages say.
YOUR FORTUNE -
Today you've full of happiness,
next day you're full of woe,
but content will be everlasting
When you can and will say "No".
You will shortly recover a valuable that has been lost.
You will get your wish.

So my day's have been filled with many feelings all swirled up like in a blender: happy, sad, angry, hurt, etc... and today my co-worker and I went to have lunch and help me find another part-time job to occupy my free time and help me to move on (she had a lead at a cute little restaurant owned by some friends - and yum, it smelled so delicious). Since I'm in a state of needing to occupy my thoughts with love and positiveness - I am thankful for my friends. Having people to rely on and count on in times of need is truely a blessing.

I'm alive, with an exciting new job...

Alas, some word.. And certainly, I ought to apologize for just fading off into the wild blue yonder! But it was being overwhelmed and the lust to excel combined with a need to learn and fast, that prevented me from doing anything artistic. Sad but true. My torch and kiln haven't been touched in months! So no glass. Though I have product, just spare time deprived.I have made a pair of turquoise earrings though. It's no consolation however but here's my story for those interested:

So, in November I was hired to outreach to women ages 40-64 for breast and cervical screening. I work for the Well Woman Healthcheck Program (WWHP) here in Flagstaff. Our program territory is quite large encompassing both Coconino and Navajo Counties, which span across most of Northern Arizona. We've already had our first two screening days of 2008 during which we were able to reach 71 women for breast cancer by providing these women with mammograms in both Flagstaff and Winslow.

I've been busy learning how to schedule women in our clinic setting, learning how to qualify women for our program and answer their questions during calls, and help guide 2 awesome ladies working the outreach program with me! Doing this in Spanish has been increasingly complex. I have certainly been challenged! As well, I've been lucky enough to go to Texas twice since starting for conferences on breast cancer which both left me motivated, touched, excited and anxious to put all this new knowledge into action!

The WWHP has our next screening in Williams, AZ on Friday March 14th!

Witches, skulls and goddesses

My latest beads have the halloween theme! Witches and skulls. Pumpkins coming next! And of course I have some more goddesses. A really big one and a spree green one to match my brothers jeep! She'll become a suncatcher for his rear view mirror.
I don't have all the photos! Come again!
